In his first extended interview since announcing his retirement from the New York Jets, Brett Favre acknowledged on HBO's Joe Buck Live that he is considering returning to the NFL in 2009, and that he has spoken to the Minnesota Vikings. Asked if he will play in 2009, Favre said, "Maybe." and later added, "I am considering it." Favre said that the renowned orthopedic surgeon Dr. James Andrews performed surgery "about two and a half weeks ago," and he said Andrews told him that within four or five weeks, he should know whether his shoulder is strong enough to get through a 16-game season. When Joe Buck asked Favre about the offense he would play in with the Vikings, Favre said, "Knowing we can run the ball and complete passes when needed, we should be pretty good."

Yea this was a pointless interview. Kinda like the Adam Lambert coming out. Both of them just stated the painfully obvious.

Same here. Just wish we could watch him end his career as a Packer.

You may still see him do that. I would be stunned if he ever does decide to be done i believe he will sign one of those typical sentimantal one day contracts. I know it ended badly there. But he is still Brett Favre i believe he will go out as a packer. No matter how insignifcant of a role he will play in his final day as a Packer.

Kudo's to the loyalty of quite a few of the Packers fans. I can only imagine that if Tony Gonzales showed up in Arrowhead wearing a Raiders uniform after 'retiring', he'd have to swap out his uniform for a flap jacket.

I didn't have any issues, if a player came back with a new team - that's business. What makes me sick, is the soap opera, Favre plays for several years now.
