Tom Curran of ProFootballTalk.com has reported that Brett Favre's torn rotator cuff is at a high risk of worsening due to overuse or trauma. "It all depends how partial the partial tear is," a doctor with experience treating high-level athletes in both football and baseball told PFT. "If the tear encompasses an area of five to seven millimeters and is well-conditioned in the area around it, it may hold up for a while. On the other hand, if it's a two-centimeter tear and there's retraction around it, it's much less likely to do well. Cleared to play does not mean 'cleared to play well'," said the medical source. "He's at high risk [for greater tearing] both because of trauma and his style of play in which he will go downfield or throw with a lot of velocity. He's going to stress his cuff." he's got a whole bucket of pain meds, aslong as he doesn't rip it off he'll be fine. and after reading a few things it sounds like he can throw hardger than tjack and sage anways
Playing on Minnesota's artificial turf isn't going to help things. After he's been sacked a few times, Favre's 40-year-old body is going to feel like a 50-year-old-body.
So what he's saying that Favre is going to succumb to his addiction again AND still play like crap because he doesn't have 'it' anymore - $12M for a stoned 40 year old huh? Good luck with that Childress.
Karma is a snitch....anyone want to post the over/under on if he makes week 8 (I think it is) against the Packers on MNF?
