Ryan Braun is back, and Aramis Ramirez is out again.

It's been that kind of season so far for the Milwaukee Brewers.

Braun was activated from the disabled list on Monday after he was sidelined for a month with a bruised right thumb. While the 2011 NL MVP returned to the active roster, the Brewers decided to put Ramirez on the DL again with a nagging left knee injury.

"It's exciting more than it is a relief," Braun said. "Being on the DL is not something I enjoyed. Definitely made me appreciate the last six years having never spent time on the DL because it's just a lot of long, boring days. I'm excited to be back. I'm excited to be able to compete again and be able to contribute, hopefully contribute, to some better baseball."
