Houston Texans linebacker Brian Cushing has been named the AFC Defensive Rookie of the Month. It's a deserving honor for Cushing, a leading candidate for Defensive Rookie of the Year distinction. The No. 15 overall pick from USC registered 43 tackles, one sack and intercepted two passes in November and he leads the AFC in tackles and ranks fourth in the league overall.
