Broncos Place QB Kyle Orton On Trading Block

Discussion in 'Denver Broncos' started by BigBlueBruiser, Jul 26, 2011.

  1. To begin the business of Day One of the NFL's 2011 season, the Broncos will place quarterback Kyle Orton on the trading block. The Broncos will be entertaining offers for Orton, according to two NFL sources. Orton has made it clear that after posting the two best seasons of his pro career, throwing 41 touchdown passes against 21 interceptions for the Broncos, he doesn't want to serve as backup to the unproven Tim Tebow. Teams that don't have a proven starting quarterback and therefore need one include Minnesota, Tennessee and Arizona. Seattle, Washington, Cincinnati and Miami also could be possibilities.

He'd be nice in Washington or Arizona IMO.

What about the Panthers? Starting Cam Newton right away, would be suicide of David Carr purportions.

If I'm the Cardinals, I give up a 3 for Orton before giving DRC and a pick to Philly for Kolb...lol. No brainer...

I would trade them a 5th and Channing Crowder.
