Louis Greene, a Broncos special teams standout the past five seasons, has been released. An undrafted free agent out of Alcorn State in 2004, Greene, 29, was a backup linebacker who made his mark by playing on all four of the Broncos' special-team units. It would have been difficult for the Broncos to keep Greene as an extra linebacker now that so many defensive ends like Tim Crowder, Elvis Dumervil, Jarvis Moss, Darrell Reid and first-round drafted rookie Robert Ayers are dropping back from defensive linemen to outside linebacker in the new 3-4 system.
