The Broncos have named Julius Thomas the team's starting tight end for Week 1 against the Ravens. Thomas was placed ahead of Joel Dreessen, Jacob Tamme and Virgil Green in the team's official depth chart for Week 1. Thomas beat out Dreessen and Tamme with a productive preseason. The three-year pro out of Portland State caught 12 passes for 123 yards in three preseason games. Dreessen sat out the entire preseason with a knee injury and Tamme caught just three passes for 21 yards in one exhibition game. Source: CBS Sports
