The Broncos would be willing to trade wide receiver Brandon Marshall if a team offered them a first and a fourth-round pick. Marshall is coming off hip surgery, and it seems unlikely that a team would offer that for a troubled receiver who may not be 100 percent. Source: The Denver Post
And what if no one offers that for him? Good luck getting heck all out of him on the field after all of this debacle - unless OAK ponies up the 1&4 they are going to have to give their heads a shake on this price. Troy Smith & a 4th seems pretty reasonable.
IMO the Broncos are really in the drivers seat here still. Worst case scenario Marshall stays. If he performs, then maybe next year he gets a big deal with Denver or somebody else. If he doesn't perform who the hell is going to want to pay a troubled WR that tanks it when things aren't going his way? If he doesn't play well he seriously hecks up his free agency. LOL...although if he does play really well then he probably gets pissed off when Dencer franchises his butt and then tries to get that 1st+ next year.
I never thought a team would trade a 1st round pick for a 2nd round pick....but Denver managed to pull that off.
Not worth it. Maybe if it was a draft pick that started as a 3 and could move to a one...but I wouldn't give a one right off the bat for him...no way.
Bets on Bears anyone? Jerry Angelo/Lovie Smith needs to save their skin somehow. Having Cutler and no one to throw to doesn't cut it.
Appears that the Broncs may have learned something about the disgruntled WR and how to deal with him from the Cards.
