Michael Lombardi of The National Football Post indicated that he expects other teams to get involved in the quest to acquire the services of Denver Broncos wide receiver Brandon Marshall. The Broncos placed a first round tender on Marshall and according to Lombardi, the Broncos won't negotiate a trade. The team will have to pay the first round draft pick to get Marshall. It's not surprising he left Seattle without signing an offer sheet. Seattle would have to pony up the sixth pick in this years draft. Source: Michael Lombardi, National Football Post
Riiight, so make a three way trade. Make a deal with say, the Colts, who sign him to an offer sheet for the 31st pick. Then he is traded to us for the #14th pick. I'm sure the hypothetical Colts would agree to something like this.
just trade him for the No. 14 pick, Denver. Get your original pick back. less money to pay the pick, pretty good slot, get that thug off your hands.
I don't know about these guys and for some reason I just have a bad feeling in my gut about this. Kind of a Branch type of feeling like these guys will give up the farm for Marshall. If a three way trade is possible that would be sweet but I just don't see it happening. Is anyone else getting that sick feeling or is it just me?
