First, NFL owners took back roughly 5 percent of league revenues from the players in the collective bargaining agreement in 2011. Next comes the system where the league continues to take money away from the players through fines. The league slapped a $7,875 fine on Andre Caldwell for grabbing a facemask while covering on a punt return in the first quarter last Saturday at Seattle.
