The Cleveland Browns, who landed former second-round draft pick of the Miami Dolphins, were just one of six teams that put in a waiver claim for the Matt Roth, according to an NFL source. The Browns won by virtue of their 1-9 record, and Sunday’s 38-37 loss to the Detroit Lions was the difference, had that not happened, the Lions would have landed Roth, as they also placed a claim for him. In order, Roth was also claimed by: San Francisco, Jacksonville, Minnesota and Indianapolis. Source: National Football Post
