i can't overstate the fact that the cowboys have some VERY favorable match-ups in their remaining 7 games. in fact, unless the giants turn it on, i think many people are viewing them as the favorite to win their division with the match-ups they have to finish the season. if the cowboys can take care of business against the browns, they will only be 1 game behind the giants with 6 games left and the giants already have an extra division loss if it comes down to a tiebreaker.
I was listening to a guy talking on a local sports radio station, and he was referring to a Web site called NumberFire.com. They did an article on which teams would make the playoffs. They think the Giants will win the East, with the Cowboys finishing at 8-8.
eh, i tried to go check out that site to see what it was all about and it wants me to register to look at anything. regardless, if you look back on who the cowboys have played in their first 9 games, they have had a brutal schedule. only 2 of their games were against teams that are currently .500 or worse. They are 2-0 in those games. They are 2-5 against teams above .500 and they actually almost beat atlanta, the giants at home, and the ravens. 6 of their remaining 7 games are against teams that are currently .500 or worse. That's why I say if they just keep playing at the level they've been playing, i could see them finishing 9-7 pretty easily which, depending on how the giants play in december, may be enough to win the division. actually, if they DON'T finish 9-7 or better, they will have played worse down the stretch than they have played thus far.
