It's probably the last thing on Browns quarterback Brady Quinn's mind right now, but if he does get benched, he stands to be out up to $11 million. Quinn needed to play at least 70 percent of the snaps this season to trigger the $11 million escalators in his contract that would earn him the maximum value of the deal. Quinn was replaced by Derek Anderson after being ineffective against the Ravens today and head coach Eric Mangin would not say if Quinn would be replaced next week in a post-game press conference. dont bench him........ browns just suck and the Ravens are a good team.... didnt sound like Anderson did such a great job either.
I was utterly underwhelmed by Quinn even when we weren't on him - the guy looked like a shorter Derek Anderson, nuff said. After all that offseason hype both the QBs are crape, dirty pool Mangini.
Bench Quinn the Browns aren't going to do well with either Quinn or Anderson so why not save $11M, the choice is easy IMO.
"It's probably the last thing on Browns quarterback Brady Quinn's mind right now ....." hahaha. this author is an idiot. of COURSE it's on his mind. Even if Quinn hadn't thought of it, I guarantee his agent is bringing it up to him. That's way too much money to not have it on your mind.
Yea, that line "probably the last thing on his mind..." is ridiculous. It's probably more like: "I'm rich...I'm not rich...I'm rich...I'm not rich..."
Brady Quinn sucks. Plain and simple. Just another hold out and waste of money. Rookie cap now please.
Bit of irony for you right there ^^ Even though it would cost you $11mil id still play Quinn, they benched him with 1 INT so Anderson comes in and throws 2..Mangini cut Quinn short when he traded Winslow as they had good chemistry - as seen by the 11 catch 2 TD 100+yard game in Quinns first start.
