Cleveland Browns starting quarterback Jake Delhomme did not practice Wednesday because of a right ankle injury suffered in Sunday's opener. Delhomme got hurt while throwing a game-turning interception in the first half against Tampa Bay, his debut with the Browns. Coach Eric Mangini did not reveal medical results and declined to characterize Delhomme's injury, Mangini said that the 35-year-old QB is "getting better." "He's sore," Mangini said. "In terms of how long he will be out, he's a pretty tough guy. I'd say it's day to day." The Browns will not know until later in the week if Delhomme can start Sunday's home opener against Kansas City. Mangini hinted it could be a game-time decision. Source: NFL.com
AKA "Please prepare for Delhomme, because we know we're starting Wallace and the RBs/Cribbs are going to touch the ball a lot."
