The Cleveland Browns have agreed to a one-year contract with former Bears TE Kellen Davis according to profootballtalk.com.

Financial terms of the deal are not yet available. The Browns have now signed both Davis and TE Gary Barnidge to try to make up for the loss of Ben Watson and Alex Smith. Primarily used as a blocker, Davis caught just 37 passes in 32 games over the past two seasons. He will probably see more action than Barnidge but it is likely the Browns are not yet done acquiring tight ends, as the offense of new head coach Rob Chudzinski makes heavy use of the tight end positon.
