The Cleveland Browns were one of the teams that inquired about the availability of quarterback Sam Bradford in trade talks with the St. Louis Rams, Tony Grossi of ESPN Cleveland reports. "His name came up, not from us," Rams head coach Jeff Fisher said at the league meetings on Wednesday. "Clubs inquired. But there was no consideration whatsoever on our part (to trade Bradford)." Browns head coach Pat Shurmur was the Rams offensive coordinator during Bradford's first season in the NFL. Bradford took all the snaps for the Rams that season, earning AP Offensive Rookie of the Year honors while completing 60 percent of 590 pass attempts for 3,512 yards with 18 touchdowns and 15 interceptions. Shurmur left for Cleveland and was replaced by Josh McDaniels. An ankle injury limited Bradford to 10 games in 2011 and that injury, plus the lack of an off-season to learn the new system due to the lockout caused Bradford's numbers to fall significantly. i think it's very obvious at this point, regardless of what the Browns are saying publically, they have seen enough of Colt and know they need a new QB.......... and I agree with them.
I agree that it seems that way. But I dont see them doing anything drastic this year. Hopefully this talk lights a fire under McCoy, and if it doesn't and he tanks, do whatever it takes next year to get the guy Holmgren wants.
sam bradford is freaking terrible, they are idiots for not moving him and then they could have stayed put and took RG3. Bradford is taking them nowhere. Hell if they got a 3rd or 4th round pick and unloaded his huge salary and took RG3 (much better prospect than bradford ever was) that would have been a steal. Might as well have tried to trade for aaron rodgers? lmao please tell me thats not meant to be how i read it
