Josh Cribbs says many players suffer concussions which are inconspicuous and keep playing according to Steve Doerschuk of the Canton Repository. About 14 months before Pittsburgh linebacker James Harrison smashed Colt McCoy to the ground on Thursday Night Football, Harrison laid out Browns ball carrier Joshua Cribbs at Heinz Field. “I had a concussion,†Cribbs said. “I wanted to go back in.†Cribbs was diagnosed with symptoms characteristic of a concussion and was not allowed back in. “A lot of guys don’t report concussions,†he said. Why? They don’t want to be labeled as injury-prone, Cribbs said, such a reputation can be a quick ticket out of the league. “Guys are thinking they’ve got to support their families,†Cribbs said.

I'd be willing to bet that half the players that are "hiding" concussions aren't educated enough on them to actually know they have a concussion...

What he's saying makes sense. I think pride takes a part too though. Guys never want to admit they're really hurt.
