Buccaneers cornerback Aqib Talib has been suspended four games, starting Sunday against Kansas City, for violating the league's policy on performance-enhancing substances. "Around the beginning of training camp, I made a mistake by taking an Adderall pill without a prescription," Talib said in a statement issued by the team on Saturday. "This is especially regrettable because, for the past several months, with coach Schiano's help, I've worked very hard to improve myself -- professionally and personally -- as a player and a man. I am truly sorry to my teammates, coaches and Buccaneers fans, and I'm disappointed in myself. I will work diligently every day of this suspension to stay in top football shape and be ready to help this team in the second half of the season. I have chosen to be immediately accountable for the situation I put myself in, which is why I will not exercise my appeal rights and will begin serving the suspension immediately." The 26-year-old Talib will be eligible to return to the club's active roster on Nov. 5. In four games this season, the 2008 first-round pick totaled 21 tackles and one interception. what????? talib in some sort of trouble......say it ain't so....hahahaha awesome, suspended just in time for when the saints game
how many chances are the Bucs willing to give him....apparently he's sooooooooooooooooooo great at his job that he can do whatever he wants and he'll be forgiven...sounds like a union job...
The heck? The thing is I could see this helping someone in the NFL. I'm not prescribed adderall but let me tell you, that crap gets me through my midterms and finals I honestly don't know what I would do without you. So like studying the playbook and crap could definitely see it helping. Crap I could see that crap helping on the field it's like cocaine but lasts longer and costs less.
not sure why he wouldn't just get a prescription from the team............. that's why he's an idiot. but he's not the only one. there have been several players caught using adderal recently.
Is it that simple though? If he doesn't really need it, he isn't just going to be handed a subscription.
i'm sure the team would have given him a scrip if he said he was using it and was going to test positive and be suspended ........... things like that are not hard to do for the team.
