Buccaneers cornerback Ronde Barber has decided to return to the team for a 16th season in 2012. Barber informed the Bucs of his decision late Wednesday afternoon, saying he is excited about the direction the team is headed under new coach Greg Schiano. "I'm pleased to announce that I'll be back for my 16th season as a Buccaneer,'' Barber said in a statement released by the team. "I'm really excited about the direction of the team, the moves we've made, and I can't wait to get back to work.'' Barber's decision comes less than a week after the Bucs signed free agent cornerback Eric Wright to a five-year contract and solidifies a position that was in danger of thinning drastically this offseason. The Bucs still could lose starting left cornerback Aqib Talib, who will stand trial April 16 on a felony gun charge in Texas. Source: Tampa Tribune
