Buccaneers Could Be Headed For HBO's Hard Knocks

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers appear to be a leading candidate to be featured on HBO’s “Hard Knocks’’ series this summer that, of course, comes only if there is a labor agreement and teams go to training camp in July or August, but the Bucs have been involved in talks, although no deal has been finalized. This would make plenty of sense for the Bucs. They’re a team that struggled with attendance last season, not a single game sold out at Raymond James Stadium and segments of the team’s fan base have not been positive about ownership. Putting an outgoing head coach like Raheem Morris on the show could boost Tampa Bay’s national exposure, the Bucs also could use the show to help market some rising young stars like quarterback Josh Freeman, running back LeGarrette Blount and receiver Mike Williams.

That would be awesome, not just for Bucs fans but for football fans. Coach Rah is the man!!!

A conversation is two points of view. You think it's great for all fans.I think it's boring. I actually MADE the conversation

It does seem like it would be a yawnfest as phigles alluded to, but you never know. And it would definitely be good for that franchise.

Yeah, I don't see why anyone would want to watch training camp of one of the youngest teams with emerging talent and a very bright future. Throw in a head coach with Rah's personality and this has all the makings of a borefest. :icon_rolleyes:

One of the better up and coming teams they could select for Hard Knocks...

Young players, young coach, plenty of camp battles, plenty of new faces...would make for interesting episodes.

I am with 86 and Mush on this one, I would actually watch Hard Knocks if the Bucs were on it. It would be entertaining and they have plenty to market.

I will enjoy them choking under the spotlight and you bemoaning the choice to let the HBO cameras in before the halfway point of the season

Or maybe they will play well like the Bengals and Jets did eh?

A good football team doesn't "choke" because HBO let some cameras in, in the NFL you are under pressure constantly, and weekly, if you lose and blame it on the "camera's" you don't deserve to be in the NFL.

  12. Teams like the 2011 Buccaneers deserve to be on Hard Knocks....not a bunch of clowns like the Jets.

The Bucs are a young....up and coming team with a rah-rah type coach in Raheem Morris. You don't really need obscenities to watch Hard Knocks. Should be entertaining to watch.

I agree, I didn't find the Jets entertaining it was just a lot of cussing, and following Revis' holdout. I think I would actually watch the Bucs.

Lol at the suggestion that the Bucs are a good up and coming team but the Jets are a joke. Jets were one of the best teams in the AFC. Bucs are destined to be middle of the NFC again next year.

Maybe we'll see LeGarrette Blount knock someone out again.
