Felony and misdemeanor charges against Da'Quan Bowers for allegedly carrying a handgun into a New York airport have been dismissed, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive end's attorney told USA Today on Thursday.

Bowers has pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of disorderly conduct and will pay a $250 fine, the newspaper reported.

Bowers was arrested at LaGuardia Airport in Flushing, N.Y., on Feb. 18 after police said he was illegally carrying a handgun. A loaded .40 caliber firearm was discovered among Bowers' possessions at a flight check-in counter, per WNBC-TV. The two-year pro was set to board a US Airways flight to Raleigh, N.C.

So since he didn't shoot himself, he doesn't get thrown in jail for a couple of years huh?

Probably because he turned himself in for accidently having the gun in the airport.
