The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have not set a timetable for any decision from defensive back Ronde Barber. Barber is still mulling over a decision as to whether to continue playing for a 17th NFL season with the Bucs. Currently, Barber is not under contract and therefore, is not attending voluntary workouts. “We’ve been in communication, but there’s no developments, and that’s fine," Buccaneers coach Greg Schiano said, via The Tampa Bay Times. That’s the way we kind of left it. We just continue to keep in communication. There’s certainly no silence or anything. I just think it’s the process of figuring it out.†If Barber decides to return, the secondary in Tampa Bay could be loaded. Safeties Dashon Goldson and Mark Barron would join Barber in the defensive backfield, with the chance of still landing Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis in a trade. Playing time could be at risk by returning to the Bucs, but a chance at winning the NFC South would be greater. Source: Scout.com
