The offense the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are installing this offseason is reminiscent of the one they ran under Gruden according to Roy Cummings of the Tampa Tribune. "It's very similar to Gruden's offense," running back Earnest Graham said of the offense being installed by new coordinator Greg Olson. "It's the same mindset, the same offense. What he has the quarterback doing, the receivers and the running backs - it's pretty much the same system." Gruden often bristled when his offense was referred to a West Coast system, but with the emphasis he put on throwing mostly short passes to receivers running slants and digs, that's pretty much what it was. Olson's system has the same qualities, but many of the skill players on offense believe the Bucs will put a greater emphasis on the run and will rely more on the deep passing game. "I think of us as a run-first team," fellow running back Derrick Ward said. "I'm pretty sure if you ask Cadillac (Williams) or Earnest, they're going to tell you we're going to set the tone for the offense." Source: Tampa Tribune
