In the wake of an NFL.com report that said some Tampa Bay Buccaneers players have griped about how tough coach Greg Schiano was on them during training camp, left guard Carl Nick said those players don’t know what tough is. “My first year in the league was the hardest training camp I’ve ever experienced,’’ Nicks said Monday. “Schiano has not even come close to that yet. Seriously, it’s not that bad.’’ In the NFL.com report, Bucs safety Dashon Goldson said he took the players’ complaints to the coach and that Schiano addressed the team a day later, saying he would listen to their argument. Schiano went on to say in the meeting, however, that he had a plan in place and the players needed to trust in his plan because he believed it would lead to good results on the field. Nicks said the group that expressed concern over the nature of the Bucs’ camp workouts was made up entirely of newcomers that were not accustomed to Schiano’s disciplinary style. “It was some of the guys that came from different teams or were rookies and they just weren’t used to it,’’ Nicks said. “The guys that were here last year, we’re used to it and to us it wasn’t that difficult.’’ Source: Tampa Tribune
