The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced that cornerback Aqib Talib has been placed on injured reserve, with defensive tackle Jovan Haye taking his place on the 53-man roster. Talib has been bothered by a hamstring injury, missing the team's Week 14 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars before returning last Saturday night against the Dallas Cowboys. Talib exited the Dallas game midway through the first quarter. Following a tumultuous offseason, the 2008 first-round pick out of Kansas had 34 tackles and a pair of interceptions in 13 games this season. Talib has 161 tackles and 17 interceptions during his 54-game career and is signed through the 2012 season, though his availability could be in jeopardy based on the outcome of his March 2012 trial for an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charge in the state of Texas.
