The Bucs placed cornerback Danny Gorrer on the injured reserve/recall list and re-signed defensive tackle Gary Gibson. Gorrer recently underwent surgery to repair a groin tear but was kept on the 53-man roster. Under the new collective bargaining agreement, teams can designate one player to recall from Injured Reserve. "We have enough right now, but if we lose any more it's going to get dicey," Schiano said of his defensive back situation. "Not dicey like last year dicey. That was really dicey. But that has actually put us in a better position now." The Bucs also lost cornerback Anthony Gaitor to a season-ending knee injury in the final preseason game.
