Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Josh Freeman says he did not ask for a trade and that his focus is on "being a Buccaneer," per Pewter Report. Freeman made the comments in the aftermath of the Bucs' 16-14 loss to the New Orleans Saints on Sunday. Freeman, the Buccaneers' starting quarterback and a former first-round pick, is in the final year of his rookie contract, and Tampa Bay has shown little inclination to work toward an extension. The Bucs have rookie Mike Glennon as Freeman's backup, and many believe he is Tampa Bay's quarterback of the future, a future that could begin in 2014 - or perhaps sooner if the Bucs continue to struggle this season.
