The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced the signing of seventh-round linebacker Dekoda Watson to a four-year contract, financial terms were not disclosed. A three-year starter at Florida State, The 6-1, 226-pound Watson is the latest in a long line of undersized Seminoles linebackers to hit the NFL, the most notable being Derrick Brooks, a future Hall of Famer and one of the best players in Buccaneers’ history. Watson stated 32 games during his 46-game career, totaling 184 tackles, including 32.5 for a loss and 11.5 quarterback sacks. Watson added a pair of interceptions, returning one for a touchdown, recovered three fumbles, and blocked three kicks. Watson will need to excel on special teams this summer to earn a roster spot.
