Buccaneers WR Arrelious Benn To Be Placed On Injured Reserve

  1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie wideout Arrelious Benn is headed to injured reserve with a knee injury, the team announced Monday. Coach Raheem Morris confirmed the move during Monday's press conference. "I'm more sour (about) what I know Arrelious was going to be able to do this offseason because of how he works," Morris said. "Now I know he's going to be spending some time rehabbing, doing some things for his knee in order to come back to where he was. I'm more discouraged about (that) fact, because I know he was going to be able to grow in the offseason, in the offense." Benn, who was injured in the second quarter of Sunday's 38-15 win over the Seattle Seahawks, told the St. Petersburg Times he was unsure what happened on the play to cause the injury. "I have no idea. I don't even want to know," Benn said. Selected in the second round of last year's draft, Benn has been an integral part of Tampa Bay's young receiving corps alongside standout rookie Mike Williams. Benn's 25 receptions are fourth most on the Bucs.

MF'er. If we make the playoffs we're screwed. We have more starters on IR then playing this Sunday.

  3. It's amazing that the Buccaneers have a winning record despite having at least 10 rookie starters.....an NFL first since the merger.

And the Buccaneers finally beat a team with a non-losing record. :peace: lol
