Absentee tight end Kellen Winslow explained why he didnt attend the Tampa Bay Buccaneers set of voluntary practices last week. Winslow told Stephen Holder of the St. Petersburg Times that he remains in the process of moving to Tampa from California, which is the primary reason why he missed the Organized Team Activities, Winslow added that he told coach Raheem Morris and the Buccaneers owners that he was going to miss the workouts. The explanation still raises a fairly obvious question: Couldnt Winslow have hired a moving company or scheduled the move at a different time but Winslow, who was acquired via a trade from the Cleveland Browns this offseason and signed to a contract extension that included $20 million in guaranteed money, promised to attend the next series of workouts that begin May 26. Fans are going to have opinions, but if you know me, you know Im working my butt off, Winslow told the Times. I live in San Diego. I want to be there and I will be there.
