    1) I'm feeling pretty good right now about my off-season feeling that the Jets, Bengals, and Vikings probably wouldn't make the playoffs.

    2) Enjoy your week 1 wins Jaguars, Chiefs, and Seahawks fans, but don't get too overexcited. Your teams still have much work to do (I actually heard SB talk today on the radio in K.C. about the Chiefs ........... ugh). If any of these 3 teams makes the playoffs, I will be shocked.

    3) The Ravens, Packers, and Texans all lived up to their pre-season hype. Very impressive.

    4) The Raiders, 49ers, and Cowboys turned in the most disappointing performances in week 1. Can't handle the pressure of pre-season hype, eh?

I agree with all of this. I can't believe people around here are already thinking the Chiefs are going to the SB after one win. My mindset is the exact same as it was before the preseason even began. Compete for a playoff spot.

Chiefs in the SB? Not even if they bought a ticket.

People crack me up. They act like the season is over for the Cowboys. They must of forgotten about all the starters who would of been key that were not playing that night. I even thought before that game about a possible loss. I was right.

    5) Its not only about the big name players anymore. Foster, Mendenhall, and Nicks all proved that this week.

He said most disappointing in week 1. Didn't say the season was over. They did have an dismal performance this week. Maybe next week they'll win by 374 points, but they did look real crapty week 1.

Seattle wouldn't surprise me, just for the fact that they play in the abysmal NFC West. 7-9 could probably win that division.

ummm ya except they scored two tds in the last six weeks of offense.... and five of those weeks were preseason.... and what starters are you talking about? it looked to me that the cowboys have the same problem the did last year.... tony romo and the coaching staff.... horrible week one agasint a rebuilding team with mcnab! no one said this was about the season being over, now if chi-town beats the cowboys next week..... im might be worried if i were a cowboy fan with postseason tickets....

obviously their season is not over. they just looked very poor in week 1, which was disappointing with all of the pre-season hype about their team.

I can see the theory that the Ravens looked terrible to some and you may be right. Time will tell what the Ravens are. I, though, was impressed that they were able to move the ball through the air on a jets' defense that i have a lot of respect for. Add in the fact that their run defense played well (their pass defense got to take the night off) and they started the season looking better than I thought they would, especially with quite a few players missing.

    Good one.

    exactly.

true, let me re-phrase. "I will be shocked if any of those teams finish above .500"
