The Cardinals might have to test their depth at cornerback after starter Greg Toler suffered a left knee sprain Saturday night against the Chargers at University of Phoenix Stadium. Toler left the game in the first quarter and did not return. His departure resulted in more playing time for Patrick Peterson, the fifth-overall pick in the draft. Peterson returned an interception 34 yards for a touchdown late in the first quarter. There was no immediate word on the seriousness of Toler's injury. The Cardinals could receive a boost soon if cornerback Mike Adams returns from knee surgery as expected. Source: Arizona Republic
Very glad to here the knee isnt too injured, though it sounds like hell be out for the first few weeks of the season at least. We better pray for no more injuries in the secondary, we were dangerously thin before Toler went down..
