The Arizona Cardinals expect to sell out Sunday’s game in Glendale against the New Orleans Saints. The Cards won’t officially announce a sell out until Thursday, but team officials are optimistic that will occur. It would be the 47th straight home game to be sold out since the Cardinals moved to University of Phoenix Stadium. The NFL requires teams to sell out home games 72 hours before game day for it to be televised live in the local market. The San Diego Chargers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Jacksonville Jaguars are among those failing to sell out games thus far this season. Source: Phoenix Business Journal
Can you please do your research. The Jaguars have not had a single blackout this year. You failed to mention the Raiders, The Lions, and the Bills who are all teams who are having blackouts in addition to the Chargers, and The Buccaneers, yet you name a team, the Jaguars, that have had no blackouts. Nice.
Welcome to the site DD, maybe you should contact Cardinals expect to sell out Saints game, will start Max Hall - Phoenix Business Journal we only report the news we don't make it up. The Jags so far this year have sold out at home, last year they had like 7 games blacked out I think.
I will contact them as well. You are spreading this information around. I want to make sure people understand. The quote directly says we are having blackout issues THIS season and we are not. We did have issues last season and so would alot of other franchiises had their owners not been buying up unsold tickets.
Nope, but we expect to sell out at least the next three home games with hopes of selling them all out. Also, the article was talking about blackouts so far, so the Jaguars should not have even been mentioned. Here is a gauge that is updated quite reularly. We try to be transparent and not hide our blackout woes like Miami for instance, or Tampa Bay, up until this year. 2010 Ticket Sales Chart By Game - jaguars.com
Lets not bring up the fact that since 2006 your team has tarped off at least 10,000 seats so that your team can show sell out. Technically the Jags are sold out but you are also hiding 10,000 seats so that your count is lower. Jags must know that their fan base doesn't support em, if you tarp for one game you must keep the tarp for the whole season and they aren't expecting a big fan rush. Not to mention they also have blackout at most teams they visit. http://gridironfans.com/forums/afc-discussion/141253-only-reason-go-see-jaguars-jaxon-deville.html After the jump you can clearly see the tarp. Now that Warner is gone and Boldin and a few others the Cards are scrambling to sell tickets.
