Cardinals nose tackle Gabe Watson is rehabilitating from off-season knee surgery for the second consecutive year, but remains optimistic about playing pain-free this fall. Watson suffered a fractured knee cap in a treadmill accident in 2008, and had trouble all last season with pins digging into a tendon. The condition didn't improve this year, so Watson underwent surgery in April. "There was never a day where I was pain free," he said of last season. "Some days were better than others. Before every game, every practice I would take my helmet off and honestly just pray, ask God to give my strength and to protect me." Source: Arizona Republic
