The Arizona Cardinals shut down first-round rookie offensive guard Jonathan Cooper for the season, placing him on injured reserve. Cooper wasn't designated for return. The former North Carolina standout has a broken leg. “Based on the medical prognosis and weighing all of the other factors, we decided that placing him on IR made the most sense for the team and for Jonathan," Cardinals general manager Steve Keim said in a statement.
