The Arizona Cardinals reportedly called free agent linebacker Stevie Baggs on Monday hoping to sign him, but the Canadian Football League star turned down the team's offer. According to the National Post, Baggs received a call from the Arizona Cardinals on Monday asking if he wanted to return to the team that released him last week. "They cut a guy on the active roster and they wanted me to come back. I would have had an opportunity to go back there," Baggs told the National Post. Baggs signed with the Tiger-Cats last week and is slated to make his 2010 debut against his old team, the Saskatchewan Roughriders on Saturday. Being under contract to the Tiger-Cats means the dominant pass rusher cannot take the Cardinals up on their offer but he's okay with that. Source: TSN.ca
