Carl Crawford, as shy and quiet of a star as you'll find in the Major Leagues, was uneasy with the number of reporters who crowded his locker on a cool Sunday morning in Toronto. He scratched his head, laughed apprehensively and nervously knocked over a pair of bats leaning against his locker. "It'll be cool to go back and see everybody again," the unassuming Crawford told a dozen reporters when asked about returning to St. Petersburg for a three-game series starting Tuesday. "I'm just going to treat it like another road trip." But for Rays fans and Red Sox fans alike, this is nothing close to an average road trip. Crawford, of course, spent the first nine seasons of his Major League career with the Rays, helping the team to the World Series in 2008 before the club and the player went their separate ways in 2010. These freaking pussies down here will probably cheer him when he's announced. Good thing I'm not going, prolly get kicked out of the Trop before the 3rd inning.
That was a pretty weak attempt at humor dude. Don't you know we sell out all Redsox and Yankee games because of all the bandwagon pillow bitters that live down here.
Drag he went to the enemy. Period. Screw him. Had he went to the Angels or Rangers that's different. But he went up north. Screw him.
Yankees, he was still in his prime then. I still remeber the T-shirt "Looks like Jesus, acts like Judas, throws like Mary."
Honestly I always hated Damon but I still would've cheered for him his first trip back to Boston if I was there. Only the first trip back though.
