The case against Jacksonville Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew over an alleged assault at a St. Augustine, Fla, establishment has been sent to the prosecutor's office, per the Florida Times-Union.

From there, it will be determined whether there is sufficient evidence to charge Jones-Drew with a crime in the matter.

Police had wanted to get a statement from Jones-Drew regarding his alleged role in punching a security guard at Conch House Marina on May 2, but the running back opted not to tell his side of the statement.

According to the police report, Jones-Drew punched Kasim Howard and knocked him out during a fight at the restaurant. Attorneys for the Conch House and Howard say video shows Jones-Drew being involved in the fight, something the running back's representatives have denied.
