After a long and illustrious career as one of America’s best goalkeepers, Kasey Keller has one more award to walk off into the sunset with. The 41-year-old Seattle Sounder was announced as MLS Goalkeeper of the Year on Tuesday in a move widely expected after he was named to the MLS Best XI last week. Keller, who retired at the end of the season, won top voting in all three voting blocks with the players (17.39), media (26.98) and clubs (29.59) naming him as top choice. The Olympia native played every minute of MLS action with the club, racking up an impressive 76% save percentage and a goals against average hovering just about one.
