Cedric Benson believes the Chicago Bears did all they could to prevent him from signing with another team. A bust in Chicago, Benson is finally living up to the hype with the Bengals. "I heard all the rumors that were said coming out of Chicago," Benson said. "Even the Bengals told me all the things, that they would call and inquire about me and get nothing but negative things. Just that I didn't work hard, that I was I guess a prima donna or I didn't work hard on the field, just wasn't focused, just anything negative that they could say, it was said. I'm sure that contributed largely to me not getting picked up right away." Bears coach Lovie Smith insisted, "He was not blackballed by anyone in our organization." Source: Yahoo Sports
Take it out on them this week, and stop making up conspiracies. Maybe it was the fact that St. Clair can't block.
He is only saying this now because they play this week but he sucked when he was a Bear. I don't believe that Lovie would do that to any player.
Hey Cedric. All that stuff they allegedly said would have been absolutely true pertaining to your 2007 performance. Good to see getting cut caused you to rediscover a work ethic. Now STFU.
OK you clowns. :icon_cheesygrin: No I don't like bud. Actually I need a new keyboard. This one the keys stick and skip too. :icon_rolleyes:
I was listening to the radio coming home from work and they were talking about Cedric Benson's time with the Bears. By the sounds of it, he was a slacker in practice. Apparently in 2005 or 2006, Thomas Jones got right in his face for half assing drills in practice. I don't know if it's that Benson didn't want to be in Chicago or what. Oh well, Benson found a new team and seems happy in Cincinnati.
