Chargers Assistant Ron Rivera To Interview For Panthers' Head Coaching Job

Discussion in 'Carolina Panthers' started by BigBlueBruiser, Jan 2, 2011.

  1. San Diego Chargers defensive coordinator Ron Rivera will interview with the Carolina Panthers for their head coach vacancy according to Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk. If Rivera isn't hired, the Panthers will at least satisfy the Rooney Rule. John Czarnecki of FOXSports reported earlier today that Browns defensive coordinator Rob Ryan along with Rivera, are candidates to interview for the Panthers coaching job. Ryan should interview with the Panthers in the next couple of days. Jason La Canfora of NFL Network lists Rivera, Jim Harbaugh, Mike McCoy, and Russ Grimm as candidates.
