Philip Rivers and the San Diego Chargers kept Andrew Luck on the sideline most of the night, giving the Indianapolis Colts quarterback no chance at another comeback.

Rivers threw a 22-yard touchdown pass to rookie Keenan Allen and Nick Novak kicked four field goals to give the Chargers a 19-9 victory against the Colts on Monday night.

SteveRobWhatever's Take: Chargers sure love to give teams they are supposed to lose to fits. First the Cowboys and Eagles got some, and now the first-place Colts got a taste. Plus Rivers didn't become a turnover machine, he actually looked good tonight. Hats off to the Chargers on defense. They did a great job of shutting down an offense that was clicking.
