San Diego Chargers exclusive rights linebacker Antwan Applewhite signed his one-year, $470,000 qualifying offer, the team announced. Applewhite spent last season on injured reserve with a hamstring injury suffered during the season opener against the Oakland Raiders. Now, the Chargers have five unsigned restricted free agents: wide receivers Vincent Jackson and Malcom Floyd, offensive tackle Marcus McNeill, linebacker Shawne Meeriman and defensive end Travis Johnson.
