Bill Johnston reports via Twitter that the San Diego Chargers have released cornerback Dante Hughes. He was released to make room on roster for rookie linebacker Kion Wilson. The Chargers are hoping Wilson will give their special teams unit a much needed boost. Hughes was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in the third round of the 2007 NFL Draft and played college football at California. Source: Bill Johnston, Twitter.com
