The San Diego Chargers have released starting SS Clinton Hart, a league source told Scout.com. Hart, who league sources said has struggled all season in pass coverage, is signed through 2012. A source said while Hart's salary cap number for 2009 was just over $2.6 million, the team already paid him a roster bonus of $1.2 million earlier this year.

This is surprising to me, somebody will pick him up for depth.

Finally, the guy sucks. Can't tackle and can't cover. He's a backup at best. I'd say 90%+ of Charger fans wanted him gone.
