The Chargers signed Robert Meachem, the former Saints' first-round pick, in March 2012. On Saturday, they released him after one unproductive 2012 season, and a mostly unimpressive 2013 preseason, according to U-T San Diego. Meachem, whom the Chargers will pay $5 million this season to play elsewhere, had just 14 receptions for 207 yards in 15 games last season.
