The (3-1) San Diego Charger travel to the (0-4) New Orleans Saints Kickoff is at 8:20 PM EST at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome Discuss...
well, the saints seem to find new and interesting ways to lose games each week even though all of their games are competitive. if the pattern continues, chargers 35 saints 31 with an exciting finish of some sort.
It is hard to believe the Saints would start 0-5. But, at this point I am not convinced they won't. Maybe the Dome will FINALLY bring Magic to this team. God knows its needed.
I know it don't mean anything but to me, and it is strange, the way a coach carries himself tells me a lot of how he coaches. If he is well spoken and has well thought out answers, more likely he is a very good coach. Like Coach Payton. Listening to him talk you can tell he knows his crap. Same as the coach for the Pats, Steelers, and so on. Maybe it is just me. But our interim coach, during interviews, just don't instill a lot of confidence in me. I don't mean he has to be a thespian but he misspeaks quite often. I can tell the pressure is getting to him. And if he is like that before and after a game imagine how he is during the game. Like I said, maybe it is just me. Here is to 0-16 and the first pick in next years draft. Not sure if there is a player that can really help us next draft. Maybe trade it for a bevy of picks and go straight defense. Pass rushers and a dominant LB. That would help make our corners look better. I underestimated the impact that losing Coach for a year would have. Boy was I wrong.
I doubt they go 0-16. There was improvement on the road against the Packers. I think there is still a chance, slim as it may be, that they can right this before it gets TOO out of hand. THere's still 12 games to be played. Anything can still happen. Getting the first W will be the best thing to do BEFORE the bye week.
would hate to win just enough games to get a crappy pick. like win 6 games. If you are going to suck at least deep throat the hecker.

i agree. the importance of the head coach is severely underestimated in this league. give me a good head coach, a good QB, and a good D-line and I will find 49 other guys to fill my roster and play my schemes and win a lot of games.

if this was not a prime time game and if Brees was not going for Unitas's record, this would be a chargers win. however, under the circumstances, if the saints are ever going to stand up and play a good game, it should be here.
Chargers defense isn't a pushover. That D-line has gotten after it this year and they are getting turnovers left and right. I could see an 0-5 Saints team easy.
