The Chiefs announced Sunday they released 14 players to reduce their roster to the NFL’s mandated maximum of 75 players.

None of the cuts was much of a surprise.

Among those released were wide receiver Jeremy Horne, who caught a touchdown pass at the end of the second preseason game at St. Louis and appeared in nine games in 2011; wide receiver Brandon Kinnie, an undrafted rookie from Grandview High School and Nebraska; and former Kansas tight end Tim Biere, another undrafted rookie free agent.

Here are the other 11 players who were released: fullback Shane Bannon; linebackers Dexter Heyman and Caleb Canpbell; offensive linemen Justin Cheadle and Cam Holland; defensive backs Dominique Elliis and Jean Fanor; defensive lineman Ethan Johnson; wide receivers Zeke Markshausen and Aaron Weaver; and kicker Matt Szymanski.
