Chiefs LB Corey Mays Signs His 1 Year Tender

    The Chiefs now have just one tendered restricted free agent left to sign. Tuesday afternoon, LB Corey Mays officially inked his second-round tender offer that Kansas City extended to him back on March 5th. Mays was a surprise find last season in free agency as he started 13 games an inside linebacker for the Chiefs and set single-season career highs in tackles (100), passes defensed (1) and quarterback pressures (4).

    He's decent against the run, just needs to get faster and cover better.

    It wouldn't hurt my feelings if we improved this position in the draft. Mays would be a great special teamer but we need better starting.
