The Kansas City Chiefs announced that Tom McMahon has been hired to coach their special teams units. "I am pleased to add Tom to our staff," Chiefs head coach Romeo Crennel said. "He is a diligent worker and passionate coach. It is a great addition for us." McMahon has spent the last three seasons as the special teams coach with the St. Louis Rams. Prior to that, McMahon was the assistant special teams coach with the Arizona Cardinals and coached at the college level at Louisville (2006) and Utah State (1995-2005). The Chiefs opted not to retain Steve Hoffman, a 22-year coaching veteran, mostly with the Dallas Cowboys, who had spent the last three seasons in Kansas City. Source: Mac's Football Blog
